One of our fondest childhood memories on the farm is that of Grandma working in the kitchen. It may have been waking up to the sound and smell of bacon or sausage cooking on the stove, or of piping hot pancakes, fresh eggs, or her homemade biscuits. Or what could be more memorable than the aroma of yummy, home-baked loaves of bread fresh from the oven, and covered with home-churned butter and all kinds of homemade jams or jellies. As children, we couldn't resist the temptation of sneaking some of her homemade cookies, or a piece of pie or cake, as we ran through her busy kitchen.
Well Grandma's farm cooking is alive and thriving in our "Nana's" kitchen today. She is famous in this area for her delicious cakes, pies, cookies, and fresh homemade yummy bread, as well as her delicious jams, jellies, and assorted "goodies".
